We were invited to play football by Professor Sierra with some of the other professors at the university. None of us were expecting to play any football while we are here so a trip to a shoe shop was made and some cheap indoor football shoes purchased. We got a lift to the leisure centre from a combination of Enol (Spanish student working with us) and one of the professors.
Charlie was surprised to say the least when he arrived in his Celtic top to find one of the professors wearing a Rangers top. The game commenced and the standard was higher than we were expecting. Spain is known for being good at football and this seems to be the case even for these professors. Everyone put in a good shift and were happy when the lights went out in the hall at the end signalling time to stop and a chance to cool down and have a shower.
Everyone enjoyed the chance to get a sweat on and meet some new people such as the head of the languages department who previously referred us to an introductory Spanish course.
